Production specialization<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Grupa Azoty ZAK S.A. has been continuously producing plasticizers since the 1950s. Over the decades, the plants have developed and modernized to fine tune to market fundamentals and growing specialization of the industry. Lunching Oxoviflex \u2122 in 2015th, company\u2019s first non-phthalate plasticizer marked the turning point for Segment Oxoplast. During next years the production capacity has been increased, reaching the level of 65 kT\/year along with growing demand for the product. Grupa Azoty ZAK S.A. has become the largest producer of DOTP in the European Union. Oxoviflex\u2122 is the flagship general purpose plasticizer of the Segment Oxoplast\u2122 and, together with the specialty products under Oxofine\u2122 brand, forms its complementary plasticizers portfolio.
\n– In line with the chosen development directions, as well as market and regulatory requirements, we are expanding Grupa Azoty product portfolio with specialty plasticizers. Our goal is to provide solutions that allow manufacturing of products friendly to the environment and human health, based on the principles of sustainable development – emphasizes Tomasz Hinc, President of the Management Board of Grupa Azoty S.A.
\nIn 2019, the company commissioned a specialty esters plant with capacity of 10 kT\/ year, thus introducing new plasticizers to the portfolio. As a result of adopted development strategy, Segment Oxoplast\u2122 product portfolio of the was expanded to include other specialties, i.e. Oxofine \u2122 TOTM and Oxofine \u2122 Poly2K -the first polymeric specialty plasticizer in the offer.
\n– Oxofine\u2122 is our response to the expectations and current market conditions. Plastic additives market is constantly evolving, motivating producers and customers to cooperate closely on solutions in the field of innovative, specialized products. Our offer is developed in line with this trend – says Pawe\u0142 Sta\u0144czyk, President of the Management Board of Grupa Azoty ZAK S.A.<\/p>\n

Research and development activities<\/strong><\/h3>\n

At Grupa Azoty ZAK S.A. the work is continuously underway and focusing on new products that will be added to the Oxofine\u2122 line in the future.<\/p>\n

– Extending the value chain towards specialist products in the Segment Oxoplast\u2122 is of key importance to us. For this purpose, we are building a Research and Development Center, which will be a solid support in the process of developing new technologies – explains Pawe\u0142 Sta\u0144czyk.
\nThe company already has an semi-scale plasticizer plant where new products are being developed and the currently used manufacturing technologies and products are fine-tuned.<\/p>\n

Environmentally friendly solutions<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In addition to expanding the product portfolio, Grupa Azoty ZAK S.A. also introduces pro-environmental changes on production plants.
\n– The New Energy Concept implemented in the Company will provide the Segment Oxoplast\u2122 with power, heat and steam produced with a significantly reduced, and periodically even zero, carbon footprint. In this way, we and our products contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions – says Piotr Matyja, Director of the Segment Oxoplast\u2122.
\nThe New Energy Concept is an innovative alternative approach compared to conventional to the heat and power plant, which involves coal-fired boiler. Its key element is the use of process heat from chemical plants and processes to generate heat, steam and electricity.
\nAll plasticizers produced by Grupa Azoty ZAK S.A. are compliant with the requirements of the REACH regulation, are not subject to authorization, legal and application restrictions and – thanks to their safe profile \u2013 don\u2019t have the CLP classification.<\/p>\n
