The amendment adds tris(2-ethylhexyl) benzene-1,2,4-tricarboxylate ester (FCM No 1078, CAS number 3319-31-1) to the list of authorized substances of Annex I, as an additive (plasticizer) in poly(vinyl chloride) (\u2018PVC\u2019) FCM. The update is based on a scientific opinion, which stated that overall use of FCM No 1078 does not raise a safety concern when used in the manufacture of soft PVC.<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Tris(2-ethylhexyl) trimellitate is a specialty plasticizer that the Grupa Azoty ZAK S.A. offers in the Oxoplast\u2122 Business Unit products portfolio under the <a href=\"https:\/\/oxoplast.com\/en\/plasticizers\/oxofine-TOTM\">Oxofine\u2122 TOTM<\/a> brand.<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4616\" src=\"https:\/\/oxoplast.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/TOTM-logo.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"428\" height=\"244\" srcset=\"https:\/\/oxoplast.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/TOTM-logo.png 428w, https:\/\/oxoplast.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/TOTM-logo-300x171.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 428px) 100vw, 428px\" \/>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>The amendment came into effect on August 1, 2023.
