Grupa Azoty ZAK S.A. will launch OXO and Polymers Application Center in Kędzierzyn-Koźle

OXO and Polymers Application Center - Letter of intent

OXO and Polymers Applications Centre will become the think tank and the platform for knowledge and experience exchange between science and chemical industry. Letter of intent for Center establishment was signed on Monday 16th Nov. 2015 by: Adam Leszkiewicz, Grupa Azoty KĘDZIERZYN; Rafał Kwaśniewski, Ergis SA; Tomasz Zowade, SILEKOL Sp. z o.o.; prof. Wiesław Banyś, University of Silesia; prof. Marek Tukiendorf, Opole University of Technologies; prof. Danuta Ciechańska, Institute of Biopolymers and Chemical Fibres; dr Andrzej Krueger, Institute of Heavy Organic Synthesis.

In its objective OXO and Polymers Application Center will shortly become the leading innovation platform for R&D works focused on specialty chemicals. This goal will be achieved by developing innovative products and technologies and also turning them into competitive starups.

 

The Center will be also responsible for recognizing both, technological and business needs of our partners – I am convinced that the Center will help us in becoming even more efficient in developing innovative product which will fulfill our client’s needs – said Mr Adam Leszkiewicz, CEO of Grupa Azoty ZAK S.A..

 

One of the main roles of OXO and Polymers Application Center is to shape and promote effective cooperation between science and industry – Cooperation with science is very important for us. We are convinced that implementing innovative products and technologies developed by Polish science is the top priority issue for our company – underlines Mr Leszkiewicz.

 

Grupa Azoty KĘDZIERZYN and other signatories of the letter agreed that the platform should have an open form to attract new members.
