The 2021/2022 season was spectacular for the Kędzierzyn-Koźle team. Following on from securing the Polish Cup and Polish Champion’s title, Grupa Azoty’s ZAKSA volleyball team won the gold medals of the Champions League competition, thus reinforcing their strong position on the international stage.

For Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle, this is the second title of European Club Champion, making the team part of their domestic volleyball history. The Super Final of the Champions League play-offs was held on 22 May in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The Kędzierzyn players left no doubt that they are currently the top team in Europe, by beating the Itas Trentino team hands-down in a three-set duel.

Having proved to be an insurmountable obstacle for the rivals, the best player of the match was the outside-hitter, Kamil Semeniuk. The whole ZAKSA team presented the beautiful side of volleyball and a supreme level of the game.
