The winning project is a result of the experience and research achievements of IChP, the originator of mineral modifiers for plastics, and Grupa Azoty ZAK S.A., the manufacturer of plasticizers. By adding a plasticizer to a mineral modifier, two properties were combined and one multipurpose plastics additive was obtained. Additionally, it made it possible to improve mechanical properties of the material while reducing the flammability and smoke emission during combustion of modified plastics. The award received at IWIS 2016 confirms the attractiveness of the proposed solution.
